about us
Long White Cloud Books is a Aotearoa New Zealand-inspired children's book publisher offering imaginative, interactive stories that bring adventure and culture to young readers. Our Up-Coming New Series features a group of fun-loving furry monsters who enjoy life with their friends, clicking, clacking, beeping, clapping, flipping, flopping, shaking, and stomping to their hearts’ content.
Kaitoa the Kiwi. Kaitoa’s journey tells the story of a flightless Kiwi who feels inferior compared to other birds that can soar through the skies, sing beautiful songs, or swim with grace. Feeling inadequate, Kaitoa sets out on a journey across New Zealand, meeting birds of all kinds learning he is perfect just the way he is.
We also celebrate Aotearoa New Zealand’s rich heritage through a curious Australian O'possum named Paihamu. His journey teaches him about the country's history, culture and giant sculptures, while learning to pronounce words of Te Reo Māori along the way.

Jayson Norris and Mandii Pope have been in the same expat/creative circle for 15 years. Since 2018, they’ve been discussing for years how to collaborate and combine their passions for music and art.
In March 2022, Jayson approached Mandii with an exciting idea - he had written a series of children's books and envisioned bringing them to life with illustrations and music. From that conversation, a new series and a collection of Aotearoa New Zealand-themed stories were born.
Today, their shared vision has grown into Long White Cloud Books, a publishing company where art, music,
and storytelling create magical, interactive experiences for children.
